Harvest Haikus Anyone?

Not much of a poet, but I started noticing things that tell me it is harvest time in Napa Valley.

Sure signs of harvest
yellow bins, yellow poles, grapes
dumped down the chute

What means harvest to you?

Jewel bright colors
Whoosh! goes the inflated bag
Soaring in the sky

Yellow leaves hang limp
Their work done while the workhorse
Yellow ball rises

Fit of inspiration on the way to work:

Old vines pile like dams
Busy beavers dotting a field
Geese feast on the scraps

Inspired on the drive to work:

Cool cotton layers
Misty padding for ripe fruit
Leaving with the sun

I'm having a lot of fun with this. I hope others are too. I am finding most of my ideas are coming from visual things, but now that the grapes are starting to ferment, I am also noticing the smell of wine being made when I pass the wineries on Hwy 29.

White stripes line the rows
Powdery clay protecting
Sun-sensitive grapes
