Why is Icon Estates using alternate fungicides like Sonata?

Are we moving away from sulphur in the vineyard? Is this part of a program to become "organic"?

Sonata and Serenade are two new generation fungicides which are safe and have a low impact on the environment. They are basically bacteria which combact the mildew fungus by exuding some sugars. These products can be used in the 'organic' and are part of our sustainable direction. It is also good to rotate your control methods so that resistance does not build up. Sulfur is great, but hard on air quality.
