Do you happen to know if this group's main concern is due to government controls on pricing or is it the power of the merchants/winemakers who buy the bulk grapes for their wines? Are negociants still a big force here? Cheryl

Back of the Napkin - Conveying complex ideas with simple drawings

For a conference focused on elearning development, Dan Roam's contention that simple drawings are one of the best teaching tools may have seemed like heresy, but its not. His book, Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures is based on some principles of brain function that are beginning to be understood. If over 3/4 of the neurons in our brains are d… Continue

mTesting...noone is safe anymore

The teachers have won. OnPoint Digital and a hand full of other tool providers have discovered how to reach out and test you wherever you are, provided you have a cell phone or other data-enabled device. They have the ability to capture responses through text messages, responses to audio prompts (think automated response systems) and HTML, XML, J2M and other formats. This is focused on how bloggers and wineries can work together.

The speed of change is probably the… Continue

What is beyond blogging? That is the question

Inertia Beverage, Stormhoek Winery, Cruvee were panelists for one of the breakout sessions at the Wine Bloggers' Conference

This is going to be more stream of consciousness.....

Some are thinking about blogging as a narrative; some are thinking about it as if everyone has a guttenberg press; different aspects… Continue

Hi Cheryl! I took it at Kendall Jackson (wine-food) pairing in Aug 07. I highly recommend it (forgot the cost), but the chef does a 45-min+. one-on-one with you describing the subtleties and nuances of the dish/wine with you. Loved it!
